BlackRock is in part owned by Vanguard Group which is even bigger and of which owners are unknown. Together they own dominating shares in almost all major corporations, including tech, media, pharma, natural ressources, etc.

Reminds me of a novel called "I Have a Black Tech USB Drive" or something.
The protagonist found a USB drive that can summon something from movies which must be scientifically plausible, such as brain chips, nerve repair pods, etc.
The catch is that it consumes energy, which scales with mass of the summoned item.
He then summons stuff to strengthen himself, his connection, wealth, and built a city to facilitate expanding humanity's lifespan.
The thing is, the company's name is Blacklight, and he has control over more than half of the world.
