It does look dark, try adding a little bit of a lighter shade

people will always have something to complain about. wear what makes you feel best

It’s definitely too dark. Also, make sure it’s a matte finish. You have a muted skin complexion so a matte finish will look better.

i have always found that matching to my neck is a better approach for me in natural lighting. its okay to not like something new, but give it a go with a full beat (concealer, contour, etc.) and see how you feel 😊 Good luck!!

It's barely too dark, but if you add a highlighting concealer I think it's nearly perfect, much better than before

I also have a multi-pigmented face where the outline is darker and the inside is lighter so I use 2 different foundations, 1 matched to the outline and 1 matched to the inner and to create a more natural contour I find using the darker shade as contour as well - I hope this helps❤

Foundation is for evening your base and contour and concealer/highlight is for redefining the shadows and light parts that get lost in the process of evening your base. Since you only applied foundation, it'll look flat. As someone else mentioned, match a shade that's in between the center and perimeter of your face then introduce those shadows and highlights back with contour and concealer.

Wear what makes you feel best. Imo this one matches you the best.

It’s just that tiny bit darker if you want you could try adding some concealer, but honestly just wear what makes you fee confident and comfortable

The problem is our faces are not all the same color in the same places. That's why highlighting and contouring are so much more popular now. Your cheeks are lighter than the shade on the jawline...normal and beautiful. Try just having two different tones and see how they blend at the edges.

It’s always best to do the cheek when matching makeup

yes it more or less matches you maybe one shade lighter would have been perfect but all the other ones you had before were not a match. I do agree with them you can’t advocate for brown girl beauty but then wear foundations 5-6 shades lighters than your natural skin color

While it does color correct, it’s corrected to your darkest shade.
Uniformity in color is usually matched to the 2nd lightest place on your face.

i always color match right where my eye socket becomes my cheekbone. idk why but that’s what works for me

It looks like a great match just add highlighter and stuff also and it’ll then be lighter in the areas where your skin is naturally lighter but it’s a great base

this shade actually matches your neck and evens out your skin tone well, what you want to do is add a lighter concealer and blend it out seamlessly to brighten the centre of your face.

I think maybe using a shade that matches your cheek and then a shade like the one you showed as bronzer/contour would yield the best results
