Simple song but SO much fun to play. I did a short snippet of this when I recorded Tribute Pt. 1 back in 2008, but I've always wanted to do a full version too. I absolutely LOVE Linkin Park's production style and the arrangements they come up with, this song has a simple structure but it also has some really REALLY cool phrases and beats to work with. Love it.

Drummers may sit for long periods of time, but they get the most workout, definitely!

0:47 to 0:53 is incredible, so melodic and punchy... great linear beat to it.

Hey Cobus, I am a huge fan of either your cover work or your band´s work, and I know you probably have a little rush with the band and (hopefully perhaps) the recording of another album, but I only wanted to let you know that it would be HUGELY appreciated, if you considered doing some more covers and we (me and a couple dozens of my friends here in Slovakia) would love to see you making a cover of A Day To Remember song called Best Of Me.

I am aware of the fact that you only do song covers of pieces that you are interested in, but who knows, maybe it captivates you when you hear it :)

All the best.

It so awesome to see what he makes out of a song.
Faint was one of my first Songs cause its not realy hard to play.
But what Cobus makes out of it is just wow.
As always AWESOME JOB DUDE !!!

The best part to make a cover is be original and show the techniques you have! Cobus is one of the best drumers around the world..God has given a big talent!.

Looking at other covers done by different people on youtube compared to yours, yours really stand out. You bring a level of finesse and style that everyone else has trouble matching. Especially dynamics-wise; you're just about the only one that I've seen that knows when to back off a bit and play quieter. There's way too many cymbal bashers on youtube. Keep up the great work!

this is why i like youtube so much, it gives talents like Cobus the oppurtunity to develop themselves further and see what the community likes about his drumming :D
