This almost sounded like a neutralized attempt at making the opium wars like a 2 part affair. Truth is much easier, Britain dumped massive amounts of opium into China, China closed ports and Britain tried to open ports via military action and ways partially successful via internal interference, eventually British were driven out. I'm not a huge fan of China but this is why its of particular interest when history is discussed.
