I prefer to put 2 or 3 layer of bags. When 1st one is full then new one is already inside the bin. Also no messy leaking coz it already has some layers inside the bin.

Those talking about leaks, What do you put in the trash? Because for most of us we use compost bins for food waste and recycling bins for recyclable waste, like tins, jars and plastic trays.
So trash bins are used for plastic wrap/ film and non recyclable packaging. Which in my experience doesn’t create any leaks.
Great hack for those who always forget to put a new liner!

Tie the rubbish bag before you pull out of the bin. Sometimes when you tear or pull the new bag, rubbish can spill out or fall out when u tug on the bottom. There you go lol...ur hack is improved by Robbie hehehe
