A company called Phoenix automotive makes this type of unit as well it lacks the physical knobs and buttons but is plug and play with easy more vehicles then this unit
It will maintain all functions on the touch screen
Some units do have buttons though

Is there anyway to make my stock mic work better with this? Wife says that she can't hear me as clearly since installing this. I rather use what I already have instead of running ugly cord to my dash for mic functionality.

I used the link that you listed in your description to purchase this head unit. On the 29th of September. A few weeks went by and had no package yet. Someone emailed me asking the year, make and model of my truck, after it already asked that when i ordered the unit and I gave the info. I replied back to the email giving the info again. I just got my package two days ago, went to install it today, and it's the wrong head unit. They sent me out a head unit with a 4-in screen That looks like a stock unit. Of course there's no phone number or anyone to call, so I'm hoping they answer their emails.

@carmaspeed just installed mines a couple days ago and I love it. Wondering though, how can I control AC temp separately from driver to passenger instead of simultaneously? Thank you?

Be advised, installed this and used the SIM card connection, didn't work. Long story short reached out to idoing and they confirmed that the SIM Card feature does not work, only reason the sim card connection is included is because it's part of a bundle from their supplier.

I have a 2015 Lariat without the 360 camera. If I can get the cameras for it to retro-fit it, will this unit show those features? I ask because when looking to upgrade from my sync 2 to sync 3... I was told by a stereo shop that I needed to provide the VIN so that the features that I have would be available in the sync 3. The guy made it seem like I could not do an upgrade with the stereo switch. Thanks! Oh... also... do you know if the ambient lighting allows for the Ford programmed color changes?
