That headphone seems crazy, Zeos. Never stick your head in Crazy.

I looked up the harman curve, instantly I went to look at my saved EQ settings for all my things just to see if I've naturally gravitated towards that... They all closely resemble the harman curve. That's actually kinda crazy.

those are the first headphones i bought, ive been useing them for many years daylie, i even bought a second pair for home use only, i really like them, i dont know what you have to listen to to make them sound not good, but maybe im just not hearing that well, or interpreting it wrong, but im thinking to buy other headphones for riding bike to work and other outside activities, beause i need about one new kabel every year

I own them...and damn i have fun with them. Im definitely not super critical, but also not.. unconcerned with audio quality and sound. Going from my k7xx to these, it feels the exact same but with better bass/overall equality of lows and highs. I will say, some things come through rough, but also..coming from open back i dont mind. I guess my hearing will suffer from the shrill noises, but I do love them for what I do. gaming/edm/classical music through schiit stack is amazing. runs about half the level of the k7xx on the amp.

this is completely how I felt when I bought into the hype of MH755s, on some songs they sound absolutely amazing, clean af bass, mids and highs just absolutely right. And the next time I put them on they're absolutely too harsh, too muddy, or too bright and I have no idea why.

sorry Zeos but the philips fidellio x2hr sucked when I bought them on cyber monday. Now, they're on the way back to Amazon.

Bought the K371 and am really happy. They'll replace my DT 770. Sound is a bit more balanced and the heights less sharp, love the sound signature. It's also really comfy. Its amazing and for that price its almost a steal. Would have taken them even for 250€ I think.

Hey Zeos, what do you think about this K371 vs K553 ?

Your description of the Harmon curve isn't quite right. It's nothing to do with what humans prefer - it's all about making the headphones sound the same as PERFECTLY FLAT loudspeakers, listened to in an average environment. When listening to speakers, there is typically some loss of treble by the time the sound reaches us - that's why the Harmon curve reduces the treble.

Harman curve is also considered the headphone mixing and mastering standard, headphones like the shure 1540, focal spirit pro, and hd 600 try to replicate It. It takes into account the vibrations and transitions of sounds throughout a room from a purely flat speaker. So not only is it actually one of the most accurate headphone in its price range, its way more comfortable and well built than its peers. But what youre experiencing with the sound is a hotly mixed track. These don't perfectly match the harmen signature, they are a bit brighter. So because of that, mixes that have too much high end will be exposed REAL FUCKING QUICK.

Zeos praised the Pro 82's even though they had really bad highs (even the updated ones) and he's complaining about these even though they blow the Pro 82's and M40X's out of the water.

I often times find myself disagreeing with Zeos...however, this review is spot on. I believe what Z was referring to with sounding bad is probably related to the very small but apparent spike in the treble from 6 to 7.5 khz (about 8db). This isn't always noticeable unless the song has an aggressive tilt in that frequency. A great example of this can be heard listening to Tom Sawyer by Rush. Geddy Lee's vocals and keyboard synthesizer and Alex Lifeson's guitar and Neil Peart's crash symbols are prevalent in that range. I really love them, but that peak can become a bit much at times.

Another thing to keep in mind is the pads are shallow and soft, so if you have larger ears, they will touch the inner cup after extended use, due to the pads becoming extra soft with body heat.

Also, for gaming these are quite good (at least when I tested them playing Dead by Daylight with my EL Stack).

If z doesnt understand what he is hearing there is a high chance the headphone is good to great

They sound amazing and detailed to me. Extremely happy. Make sure the audio source your listening to isn’t shit, some of my iTunes downloads are shit, then go check the same song elsewhere, amazing. You can eq them for pleasure, or most of the time they sound great, super happy.

So will you review the smaller brother of this, the 361?

Got them (recommended to me in your discord channel that you frequent anymore :P) and I'm pretty happy. Though the pads are great, I got some chinese HM5 hybrids knock offs and that made the sound-stage wider and the sound a bit more v-shaped, not to mention even more comfortable, so I stayed with it. Ordered a few aftermarket cables to see if I can improve on that coiled one (mine is not as bad as that, but still a bit stiff on the straight part). To me they oscillate but just between meh and awesome, depending on the track, so yeah, I'm happy, especially given the price.

Just listened to the K361's and IDK if i was listening to the correct stuff (James Morrison: Cant Take That Away From Me, Jacob Collier: It Don't Matter.) But there was massive bass roll off after about 100-120hz and it just didnt sound good at all.

They are almost exactly the same, the pivoting arm things are plastic on the K361's and they dont click half as much. I listened to them demoed (new out of the box) in a music store. Dont sound half as good as the K371's IMO.
