Hats off to Edgar Winter for not being jealous to share the stage with Dan and Rick.

I’m 62 and live in the70’s. Rock, folk, jazz, disco, Girls, hairstyles, cloths where all better in the 70’s.

Dan Hartman was INCREDIBLE. He had such an amazing and varied career before his sad and tragic death. It's hard to believe sometimes that funk rocker guitarist who wrote and sang Free Ride also wrote disco hits and even the soft rock anthem "I can dream about you." Dude was amazing and died way, way too young.

I was unaware of this version of the band. I knew Ronnie Montrose played with him and Rick but I was unawre of the 2 guitar player's here. Never saw Rick playing bass 🤔

Left to right: Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter, Chuck Ruff, Dan Hartman, Jerry Weems.
Do not argue with me about this, I’m right.

Whatever the reason The Midnight Special brought out the WOW factor in groups. The best live unbelievably good performances, this by The Edgar Winter Group is one of very many. Thank you, The Midnight Special for keeping the memory of great rock and roll alive.

One of the greatest and most notable opening guitar riffs, born in the 70's, and still rocking strong.

When you hear any band in 1973, including probably hundreds of good college and high school bands, it makes you weep over the state of modern music.

This is a good one. Tavares did it a few years later. Dan Hartman was a great songwriter. He did "I Can Dream About You" in the '80s.

Back in the day, this would come on the radio and at that first note, hands everywhere were cranking up the volume.😂🤘🤘

It's nice to see the audience up and boogie-ing instead of sitting cross legged on the floor.

I love this song and I can't believe that it there in perfect quality. Dan Hartman was the singer. Such a perfect classic

Dan Hartman is the most underrated musician and singer of all time! What a joyful voice he had, my favourite singer EVER!

I think I've died and gone to 17-year-old heaven!!! Rick on bass! Jerry Weems on lead guitar! Edgar actually sitting down at the keys!!! I WANT JERRY WEEMS' OUTFIT AND I'M STILL DAMN THIN ENOUGH TO WEAR IT. "You know all the answers must come from within": THANK YOU DAN HARTMAN!!!!

In high school, we used to find a place to park in our cars, do bong hits, drink beers and listen to music like this on the radio. We were pretty irresponsible, but we were in our teens and it was the '70s.
