Update May 30th 2020:
It seems Comet SWAN became more like a Sun Grazed comet and now losing lot of it's material. I heard Comet Atlas passed the Sun safely.

Also NASA SOHO reported that Sun on May 29th 2020 unleashed a major solar storm after 2017. Previous cycle continued for 11 years.

Here is my telescope equipment I used to take this picture -

Thank you for the Swan update and all of your wonderful captures! The galaxy at the end of the video is beautiful, but obscured by upcoming videos. Nice to see you sharing your hobby/life's work with your son.

Very nice update! I use a Scope Buggy too, to haul my equipment in and out of the shed I store it in. I think the background galaxies that look like stars are my favorite parts of imaging.

Great channel I love your honesty above everything. One question though, are we not entering a Maunder Minimum period? If so why are we seeing the largest solar flares in three years?

Thanks for sharing Ray! Unfortunately comet swan is a little bit too low in my location (trees in the way), excellent image of the Sun and M101, good to see your son helping out he has got a good teacher.

That M101 shot turned out great! And I know these may be really cliche but through larger scopes, M51 and M104 (as you know, Whirlpool and Sombrero respectively) -- I would love to you see some of these as well as some of the various nebula through your scope!
My Meade 8" schmidt-cassegrain (which needs more use) is from the 80's and that's when they used a silver coating on the hyperbolic secondary so over the he hears, you can actually notice a reduction in brightness, like it's a 7-inch scope or something, :) I really just need to get a new scope or refurbished the one I have --- as for photography, since CCD stuff wasn't really around, everything was set up for film photography, but I will say when I was able to get a great picture of planets AND ESPECIALLY nebulae or galaxies, it felt like winning the lottery! Anyway, love your channel and constant updates on the night sky!! Take care and stay safe! 😊😊

Hi Ray, I was wondering if you could have a look at comet C/2017 K2, if it is visible to your telescope, it is currently active at 10 AU, is going to approach our solar system in 2022 and has the same nucleus size as Hale-Bopp. A shame though the perihelion is not as close as we'd like it to be. Cheers!

Great video Ray. Nice to have a little helper to set up the gear🤓. BTW, have you checked out comet c/2017 T2 Panstarrs? I’ve been capturing that one because it’s in the North Western skies, near Dubhe. Check it out.
