You can stun lock this boss if you and a partner are using heavy weapons. I used the lordsworns greatsword at a +2 and it worked amazingly

So, I got through this boss okay by using the jellyfish ashes to aggro and a bleed weapon to do chunk weapons. Mind your spacing and back off whenever he comes to you, and guard/roll until the jellyfish hits him again. Rinse and repeat, and it’s fairly easy.

do you have to go to irina and see her corpse first? i have the great sword and he still only says "if you find irina tell her ill come for her only after i've fulfilled my duties". gave him the letter already.

Fun quest. That boss was pretty easy and the sword looks badass. Doubt I’ll be able to use it with a shield type build with my confessor class though? Hoping to find some badass lighter shields and 1h swords

Hey man I don’t know if you know this yet since this video came out two weeks ago but you can go to the revengers shack and an npc will invade you. Once you finish killing him you’ll get the spear and a bunch of other things

He's super easy to kill with a zweihander. Got him first time. Every hit with a zweihander cancels his attack, so just wait for him to start winding up an attack and bonk him with it

Soooo I found the boss and got the sword before I found him. So I gave him the letter but it never gives me the option to give him the sword. Edit: the fix is in the replies

Welp I may be screwed out of this sword.

I found and killed the boss that had the sword before I met Irina. I met her afterwards and got her letter, found her dad (and the claymore) and gave him the letter while I had the sword, and he never mentions it. I wait a day and meet him again, he thanks me for getting the sword back but never asks for it, and goes to find Irina. She's dead, he swears revenge, never asks for the sword. I wait a day and go back to Irina's body, and he's gone.

Am I just screwed now?

I killed Irina, then i gave him the letter, killed the boss, went back to the guy and showed him the sword. Went back to were Irina was and he attacked me. Really easy fight and he dropped Banished Knights Halbeard +8. Now I’m one shotting stuff

I thought it was a different sword, I got that one but came here checking. The girl was dead for me as well, I think I did try talking to him multiple times and I even equipped the sword in front of him but nothing happened.

You could've used the wolf summons and they stun lock the boss
