Bill Evans tribute 'My Foolish Heart' with Stravinsky ending

Показать описание
Winter View from my 'new' backyard in Alta Gracia at 8 am
Recently I have been enjoying transcribing again (after 20years)
the chords of “My Foolish Heart” by Bill Evans (live at the village vanguard version.)
There is so much deepness and beauty in this recording.
I have been very inspired as I love the intense subtlety of Bill's
playing - he has left us so much beauty.
Long have I been fascinated and obsessed by the notes improvisors
choose. The relationships between the melody and the chords.
(Also by the myriad of different sounds inside the ‘voice’ of the saxophone)
The version I recorded here includes some of the voicings I heard in the recording ( disclaimer, they might not be 100% what Bill played-
they are what my non genius ear could discern!)
I have added other chords, as well a stunning coda taken form
the Bill Evans Tony Bennett album.
I don't know why, but I was inspired to play a pet phrase
from Stravinksy's "the rite of Spring at the end"
The chords have been put on screen for anyone interested to see
what was played.
The sheet music is included inside this bundle:
