Homemade concord grape jelly tastes nothing like supermarket grape jelly. It has a deep, concentrated grape flavor, and is equally tart and sweet. A jar of this jam would make a great gift. Try it with bread. You will understand what I am talking about.

Grape Jelly/Jam
Ingredients:
2 lb / 3 cups Grapes
1 1/2 sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice

Separate the grape skins from the pulp by squeezing the grapes between your fingers.
place the grape pulp in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the grapes loose their shape, about 10 minutes. Pour the grape pulp through a fine mesh sieve into a large bowl. Force out as much pulp as you can and discard the seeds.
Add the grape pulp to the pot with the grape skins and stir to combine. Add the sugar and lemon juice and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until the jam has reduced and thickened and reached the gel stage, about 30 minutes.
Ladle the hot jam into sterilized jars.
Keep it in refrigerator.
It is delicious.

yay. i am so happy to have found your recipe again. is totally the best, tastiest, simplest, funest, is the only one that has you squeezing the pulp from the grapes, which is the most fun.
the skins seem to puff back into grape shape after cooking which is so nice, looks good too.

I am very lucky to have a huge old grape vine right down the fenceline of my driveway.
its a battle with the birds every year, this year about 50/50 each, so i guess thats fair enough.

I grow my own concord grapes. Huge win with this recipe. Everyone loves it and goes great with our homemade sourdough. The flavor is incredible and nothing like a store bought jelly. Thank you for posting.

Last September I tried this with my first harvested Concord grapes 🍇 we grow in our back yard, This came out amazing. The only thing I did different is I put the grape skins in the vita-mix to break them down before adding them to the mixture. We cherished every single drop of this jelly ! Incredible! Thanks for posting ! Time to make more ! Double the grapes this year 😀

Thank you for making sharing this. I made a small batch with white grapes from my back yard before I watched your video This is the second time I’ve tried to make jelly. The first batch was with Concord grapes and it didn’t gel. The second time I cooked longer and it’s like a sticky candy texture. Still cooling but I don’t think it will be right😩either. I’m going to keep trying until I get it! I love that you can just feel the right consistency and don’t need to rely on a thermometer.
