Did my next challenge yesterday...got up and took a very cold shower...gets the blood moving...had plans to hike another waterfall...this one was where the movie Deliverance was filmed....has to be done if the most beautiful gorges I have ever seen...after walking for about 1/2 mile we went to the trail...you either walked a mile in and turned around to go back to the car...once I got to the mile marker I made the decision to keep going and completed the entire trail which was 1.6 miles long...once I made that decision there was turning wife and her brother did the mile and turned around to go back to the truck...I finished the trail and had to wait for the other two to drive to pick me up...beautiful walk....just do it....have a blessed day Brooke....

Last month I made my first jam at 62, it was peach. I was so proud of myself. Can’t wait to make more with different fruits.

So happy to see Maysie! And, yes, a lot of work for a small yield, but nothing like homemade. 💜 🍇 🫙

The foam was always my favorite part when my mom was making jelly. We got to put it and a little hot jelly over vanilla ice cream. Yummy!
I am a type 1 diabetic now so I can't eat jelly anymore. I still make some every year or so.

I remember my mom making jelly and jams when we were kids. It always smelled so good and tasted wonderful. There is nothing like homemade. Thank you for sharing.

We don’t have Concord grapes in Colorado. At least I’ve never seen them here. My grandmother used to make concord jelly from scratch- the smell and the taste make me go back in time! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Loved the videoBree, takes me back to watching my mom and grandma making jelly when I was a little boy 60 some odd years ago. Seem to remember that they sealed the jars with paraffin and when the wax hardened, they would cover the jars with a little square of cloth. We would make jelly from all the local berrys that we picked including elderberrys and wild cherrys. So good.

Wow! I think I could do that. I'm 62 and I canned veggies for the first time since about 1972, this year. I could only do a few jars per time because of my spine problems but I enjoyed it so much. Next may be jelly😁🤗🤗
I'd love to build a little workshop for my crafting and hobbies too. Maybe next year. Lol
