Robert William Barker famously known as Bob Barker is a retired television game show host. He is known for hosting CBS's The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007. Born in Washington, Barker enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II. Then in 1950, he moved to California in order to pursue a career in broadcasting. There he hosted his own radio show, The Bob Barker Show, for six years. After getting enough experience from the show he went on to host a variety of reality game show's including Truth or Consequences. He even host the beauty pageants show's like Miss Universe and Miss USA, making him the longest-serving host of these pageants. And finally, he got an opportunity to host the popular show, The Price Is Right in 1972. After hosting the show for 34 years, he announced his retirement from the show on 2006.

After leaving the show in 2007, Bob did not involved in television as much but did appear three times on Price is Right after the retirement, where he promoted his new autobiography, Priceless Memories. Apart from hosting the show, Bob has also been involved in various animal rights issues. He also has made several donations, including $2.5 million to renovate a building for PETA's new office in Los Angeles. In 2009, Bob appeared as a guest host for WWE Raw as well as in several advertisements.

Bob has often faced with health complications, & on October of 2015, was admitted to the hospital after tripping & falling on the sidewalk. In 2017, he was taken to the hospital by his maid after Bob fell and hit his head. Following that, in 2018, the host suffered from back pain and was again taken to the hospital.

Hosting one of the greatest shows of all time for 35 years surely means Bob has collected a decent amount of money. Bob made a salary of $10 million per year while on the show. You know my favorite host of that show is Bob Barker but I can tell you why basically I've known him since when he first started back when he did the game show Truth or consequences back in the late 50s and early 60s but basically he started Truth or consequences just about a year and a half I do believe me for I was born in 1958 but I can tell you this much I'm glad to see that Bob Barker is doing okay and I can't wait to see what happens when on December 12th of this year he turned his 98 years old and that's going to be a no one can accomplish but I can tell you this much right now he's still going to be a millionaire when he turns that age but one thing is for certain I will sure miss his humor and I will sure miss his grace on the show but that's what happens basically he gets everybody to know each other between the contestants and the fans of the show I think they do a lot better and that's how contestants and fans make friends with each other my girlfriend ought to know she made friends with one of the contestants after she won a Corvette in 2003 so there you go and by the way they've been friends ever since and that's how things get started and that's what brings out the price is right and everybody and I hope to see that the Price is Right stays around for a long time more that is because basically it's going to bring out the friendship in everybody between the fans and the contestants because you never know something might happen when you least expect it take a trip from my girlfriend she didn't know she was going to get a ride on a Corvette because she didn't expect it she was surprised
