From the archives: Bob Barker on retiring from 'The Price Is Right'

Bob Barker, the longtime host of "The Price Is Right," told CBS News about his plans to retire from the popular game show during a 2006 interview. "I'm going to sit down and do nothing for two weeks and learn how it is to be bored," joked Barker about his first act as a retiree after 35 years as a host.

#RIPBob I remember his final show Julie and Les came up on stage and presented him the lifetime achievement award and we celebrated his 50 years on the air. Before that show Bob said he was going to retire. I thought he was joking but he meant it and it was a good run.

When he died i was at my grandmas retirement community, and they have a library, which is kinda different for a retirement community. Looking at their autobiography section i see bob barker. 😢
