GE oven door won’t open. Latch is stuck or broken

How to temporarily open your GE oven door if the latch is stuck or broken. My oven door latch/lock stopped working after running the self clean cycle

Please don’t use this as a permanent solution and always keep the screwdriver nearby. This is just a little hack if you absolutely need to use the oven.

Thanks for the video. The oven door latch loader spring eventually broke. I only close the latch when once in a while using oven self cleaning, so this trick comes in handy.
