Yesterday a friend told me I would crash the TSx 100% at some point in time. He said he crashed his first bike in a emergency brake test on wet ground. Guess what I had to try today.. Luckily Noone got hurt, even the bike only has minor scratches. Should I try nest time with rear brake only?

it was the leaves that had you not so much the wet. All part of learning on a bike. Brave for sharing it, mate. 👍

I'm pretty amazed that you managed not to fall under the bike, but could stand upright! 30km/h is still some speed when the bike falls down. Thanks for sharing.

Its all a learning curve, hope the damage wasn't too bad

Others here said it already....
Your problem were the leaves on the wet road. They are like soap. The same for the white street markings and arrows and the manhole covers. Rails from trams are slippery, too. So just brake on pure street. Best you just use the left brake lever. Then your rear brake goes on, front just a litte. IF your rear tyre slips sideways, you can catch the bike. I usually stamp down my foot (falling direction) so the bike gets a new impact. Often this works. My last accident with my motorbike was 2001. Then a gust crosswind from left side pushes me from the road and i ended in a cornfield.

Leaves are slippy but can also hide diesel spillage. I always like to trail the back brake into these situations as it's easier to control a rear wheel slide. I hate linked brakes

yup i did this goofing around on damp grass .with E bicycle ..pulled front brake and front wheel slid out and hit curb and dived over ...no injury

I crashed in almost same way on my Super Soco TS. I was braking using both brakes before turning right, unfortunately there was some sand on the concrete, which I didn't notice. I was almost totally fine and Only the footrest, mirror, brake level and throttle grip have some minor scratches, but man it pains knowing that my bike isn't in perfect condition now so I feel what you feel :( Stay safe!

As long as the leaves weren't damaged

Well nobody saw that you fall. Even I didn't see anything 😂😂

Main mistake was engaged front brake. Other mistake late preparing for left turn at this time of season.

Why would you try an emergency braking test in a damp road strewn with leaves?

Hope you and bike are fine.

Hey mate, is it OK to feature your clip in a moto edit some time soon? It will be credited in the description & comments section with your name watermarked on the clip. Thanks, MM

This condition was incredibly slippery, but I think this Super Socos should come with ABS

If the leaves are wet, it puts you on your face, that has nothing to do with tires

Slid on leaves with locked brake. This is why I really want a bike with ABS. Any know of any electric ones that have it?

0:46 Ah, the foot rests that don't fold and bend during a crash... Fun fact, the universal foot rests (that fold) with an 8mm bolt can be used, much better than these.

I was looking at getting a supersoco hunter pro just for a cheap runaround but a bit unhappy about the linked brakes, yes i can see this was caused by inexperience deviding to brake hard on wet tarmac and leaves but does pose the question of how safe is linked braking especially in challenging conditions,
Using the rear brake to test conditions and set the bike up for stronger progressive braking is a skill thats learned and often needed, not possible with linked brakes..
