I used to go tanning every day after school w/ my high school bf. we would literally go to a place called “GUNS AND TANNING” because on one side they sold firearms and ammo and the other side sold really cheap tanning packages. True story. Lmao 😂😂😂😂 God to love the mid-west. Lol

I’m African American and I remember right after I graduated high school in 2011 I applied to a tanning salon for a job and they rejected me. I remember being so mad because I just thought I was a great example for people to get a tan 😂😅

I thank god my ma never let me fake tan. She did 4 days a week highest level and time you can go in a visit. Did that my hole high school years. That plus the tanning with baby oil back in the 80s when she was a teen… she ended up getting stage 4 melanoma cancer that she passed away from 4 1/2 years later at 46 years old.

She knew it wasn’t safe for her kids to be going.. but she loved the way it made her feel. With the lack of vitamin D here in Michigan during the winter. But I still am grateful she was thinking about our futures. That’s a true good mama right there 😢♥️♥️
