Wouldn't by the Cathechism or in general Catholic theology knowing what is True Good and Beautiful and still performing horrible sins like in this case abortion be that much greater of a sin?

Alternative explanation: these people just view abortions differently than you. Why wouldn't someone love their grandchild, even if they had wished the child had been aborted? After all these debates, it just seems like she doesn't understand her opposition. Either that or she is just lying for the camera.
