I love this playlist so much, I'm a semester away from graduating and I always solved these problems with arithmetics, and never missed a question, but you're opening my mind into new horizons ... I can see there is a big difference when you do the things you love, rather than just do things to get paid. thank you very much!

I did this problem and came up with a different solution, namely 50 quarters, 17 nickels & 1 dime. Generally, this type problem reduces to 1 equation, 2 variables in which case there an infinite number of solutions with the two variables. A restriction that the 2 variables have to be integers does not preclude two solutions!

An interesting question! Can anyone find another solution or a proof that there are only two solutions?

In a way, he's skipping the step of defining one of them as y, then solving that equation in terms of x, then plugging that into the 2nd equation.
