The third movement is in 3/4 meter at a very fast tempo. The "trio" of the third movement is in 3/4 but at a slower tempo. At 33:20 Dvorak does something very interesting, although the time signature is still 3/4, the music played is now in 6/8. Repeated dotted quarters in the piano under sustained dotted halves in the strings. And a little later, groups of three 8th notes repeating in the piano, "as if" the time signature was 6/8. If I did that in composition class, I would get a demerit. Dvorak does it and no demerits!
