Penelope does a lot of self-sabotaging, taking-back / contradicting things she’s just said, or saying things she doesn’t believe or want. So when he confesses everything and then she’s just like, “but we are friends…” yet again, like always, I’m practically shouting at the TV, “NOOOO, DON’T DO IT, NOT THIS TIME!”

They both delivered during the carriage scene but man...the way Lukes acting was in this scene. Colin had my heart almost pounding out of my chest. The emotions he gave off, the dialogue, his expressions. It made thia everything ❤

This happened to me in reverse. 1:21. My now Husband had shared his feelings with me and I honestly didn't think I felt romantic feelings at the time. I went away for a week on a family trip and I could not stop thinking about him. It was one of the longest weeks of my life. When we returned home I went to his house and confessed my realization. We have been together since- 22 years ❤️

I still always found it kind of funny when she says “but Colin we are friends” because of course as audience we know she’s been in love with him since they met and seen her struggle in silence over him so it really gave her the power in that moment even though we all know she loves him and she always wanted it to be more
