Love the movie Big. As a kid I would rent that from the library regularly. That was my introduction to Tom Hanks . They have one of those machines at canabie lake NH.

I can't say I actually ever used a Zoltar machine, but they were definitely everywhere in the arcades. The New Wave machine is pretty cool for what it is, but I'll probably just settle for lusting after it from afar.

I never heard about Zoltar until I finally saw Big several years ago but I love Disney animatronics so this speaks to me.

I saw Zoltar for the first time on a trip to California a few years back (Santa Monica Pier). It was cool seeing it in person.

I do kinda wish we got the "Big" film version of Zoltan/Zoltar. I just prefer its more darker, evil and mysterious look, especially with the red eyes and overall darker paint tone etc. Also it fits really well with the 1980's vibe. But I do understand that people like the original one aswell. Its just my preference though.

I'd been thinking of building a non-functiomal version to add to my New Wave arcade so I'm glad to see this coming. However I'd say to expect the release to get delayed. They have the arcade machines down to a science now but when they try something different it tends to be a bit of a bumpy ride. The Coke machine seems to be about three months behind from the last update and I think the boomboxes were late by nearly a year (maybe more). New Wave's products always meet or exceed expectations but sometimes you just got to be really patient.
