You can actually add targeted interests in Boosted posts also. Maybe not as specific, but Boosting has worked quite well for me given how complex ads manager is to set up. I watched the tutorial many times and it's just way too complicated linking IG to an Facebook account, not to mention the other problems that arise with linking to a Facebook (profile impersonation, hacking, being a micro-influencer (5-10K following) Creator ... not an actual business). I feel Boosting has it's merits, especially given how inexpensive it is for smaller accounts.

My son had a tyre shop in Australia and apart from sponsoring race car shows...dohhh, he used to use only fbk posts and boosted posts, $20 twice a week on average...for years...and had a 7 fiqure annual turn over. Obviously he knew exactly what his market wanted and spoke to that, as he was one of them...and used all the same gear he was selling. This was super helpful! I'm getting ready to launch a course and am going to try ads for it. I unfortunately got my business Facebook page hacked last year, and alas you need one to run ads. So either I have to make a brand new page and start over, or boost posts. I'll probably just end up making a new page, but this was really helpful in getting me thinking about how to move forward. Great video! I learned a lot. I believe Ads are more good to use than boosted posts. Ads provide broader access to all audiences, though the disadvantage of this is time-consuming.

I love your content, but i do not agree with u, i have a lingerie online shop and i ve tried ads manager for 5 months to minimal results compared from what i am getting from boosting a reel ! I am talking sales - followers - dms … i agree there is more custom details on ads manager but i guess it all goes down to what you are selling or service you are providing

In my experience:
If you want people to see and follow your profile, boosted posts are a no brainer, because the "view profile" option is unavailable on ad manager (yes, there is a workaround, but I had seen significally lower CPA)
Ads will do better for anything else.

Facebook says to leave ur boost for at least 6 days so it can learn your targeted audience better which leads me to think that it should provide the same results minus the more detailed targeting options which is the only difference between ads manager.

My product has not officially launched yet online.
I am slowly putting out posts on instagram and Facebook.
Would it be worth it to boost those initial posts so I can get more followers before the official launch?
Or would it be better to just do the Ads right away?
