The then mighty ocean going ship called Carrack was one of them. In contemporary terms, The journey is comparable to the modern days journey to Mars and their ships can be compared to modern time space ship if the relevant knowledge levels are levelized.
In this part of the journey the greatest mystery of decoding the unknown gigantic South Atlantic ocean is explained. Vasco da Gama with some information and little knowledge chosen the unmapped path of first going deep almost near the Brazil and then turning east catching the westerly cold current to sail rapidly to cape of good hope. Their is no record available for this part of journey which is quite understandable looking into the secrecy of such exploration and keeping the knowledge for Portugal crown.
The 93 days of continuous torturous sea journey deep in the ocean is a feat of mankind found rarely in the history. This opened a new way of harnessing the ocean wind to undertake the long sea journey to untouched and unimagined lands and corners of the Earth.
