Tips for Photographing Small Animals, with Moose Peterson

With simple biology combined with technology, you too can bring back not only those memorable photographs, but also the stories that reach out and touch the heartstrings of your viewers. All it takes is understanding the basics about critters and photography to be successful. It is true that I use an 800mm lens in my work, I also use a 16mm fisheye. Which lens to use depends on the critter and the story. You may notice though the frame is not filled with the critter yet it visually pops. Light, f/stop, biology and heart are all part of the recipe that will be shared during our time together. Our wild heritage needs your images to tell their story, after this class you'll have them and much more!

I had the unique opportunity to have diner with him in Las Vegas. Don't know how it happened, but it did. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

Moose Peterson, leave it to an American master of wildlife photography to break things down into simplest terms: food, water, sex. Peterson shares his wealth of experience and masterful photography to demonstrate that, knowing where, when and how animals go for the basics in life is the key to having opportunities to make great wildlife photos.

Except for the very last part showing the kid and the grizzly this was a pretty good vid. Petersons comments regarding the bear and the kid where the very height (or low) of stupidity. Care to research the number of bear kills that were people who swore they were really cuddly, and just wanted a hug?
