Hi, just got a couple of Minimed Mio Advance from my clinic yesterday. Just watched your video and found it really helpful for inserting device for first time. Also, so cool to find out that if I catch my tubing, it's likely that the whole canula will not be ripped out of my stomach (which does hurt!). This week I had two fall completely out of my body when going from a sitting position to an upright position. It hurt! The pump fell out of my pocket & was so heavy, it pulled them right out. 2 wasted. I'm glad you had a better experience.

Thank you. Great review. I watched it just before inserting my first Mio Advanced.
Another great feature is that there is no "top side/bottom side on the tubing connector. My other set of choic is the Silluette, and as much as I like them, I often fumble connecting because I have the connector flipped over. The Mio Advance elimiates that problem.

One thing they could do with the instructions is something the automotive industry does. They put a single page in the box with either a QR code or text link to the website with the actual instructions. This does 2 things, it reduces the paper needed per box and allows changes to the instructions to be made without having the outdated instructions still in boxes on the shelf somewhere.

Once I had got over the strange looking contraption I found the system surprisingly simple and a big improvement over the Minimed Mio

I just got my first shipment of these. I’ve never even heard of them before.

I agree about the wasted paper. 🤦🏼‍♀️ And I’m exactly the right height to get caught on door knobs, etc. This quick release thing is going to be amazing. 😂

Hi, thanks for the review. I received these today as a surprise as we were previously told not to expect them automatically. Nice insertion and easy to use, however, the waste of plastic and paper is criminal! I also think that these are a lot bulkier to keep in a handbag or travel abroad with, but that may just be my opinion.

As someone who is FOREVER snagging my line I'm really interested in how this disconnection works. I only started using my medtronic 640G again today after not doing too well on a patch pump and I'm waiting to be upgraded to the Minimed 780G with the predictive algorithms, so thanks for the supplementary part of the vid. 👍
