Being from the northern district in Illinois, Senator Durbin is my Senator. I can tell you he has been in office for years and is held in the highest regard with never the hint of any type of scandal and has always done right by his constituents. Take what he says as GOSPEL. He would NEVER mislead or lie.

Garland shouldn't take such an offer if offered as doing so would open up his lifetime
position on the circuit for Trump to fill with a pro-Trump puppet and then Trump could fire Garland from FBI position afterwards. If was up to me I would put Sally Yates as head of FBI if want someone with integrity who is non-partisan though Trump would never do that and neither would the GOP who like Trump want a puppet of theirs to fill that role.
