Fill it with dry sand and crush both ends to prevent sand from leaking, but do not seal it. (Because the water contained in the sand causes a steam explosion)If you roast it with a gas torch, it is easy and low-cost.

I do basically the same thing, except I plug one end of the copper pipe, then I fill up the pipe with some freshly extracted hemorrhoid juices, and then seal the other end of the pipe. Now bend the pipe, and when you get the angle correct, you can celebrate by drinking the juices within the pipe. 😮

Much easier to fill the copper tube with sand. Same solution.

The wire you use has to be sprung steel and very stiff. You'd be better off with a bought pipe spring, or sand as others have mentioned.
