Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I'm a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.

I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.

“PILOT WE NEED TO GET THESE WOUNDED SOLDIERS OUT NOW!”

“Hold on I have to press pretty much every button here!”

Dude... there are so many switches I am ignoring.. no wonder half the takeoffs ended in fireballs... thank you, as always!

That’s cool. I’m a line service guy so seeing this helped me understand what they’re doing more or less before take off

Insert Fortunate Son Cassette into the music player, rewind the cassette, crank volume all the way to the right to full volume and then press the play button.

I was a UH1 flight instructor in the Army, the throttle was set by feel for start, not with idle release button popping out.

i wish i could have showed my grandpa this video. I bet it would bring back memories for him! He flew hueys in nam and flew them for OKC PD for years after NAM!

You can never start a huey without turning on a radio that plays fortunate son.

Much more than starting a car. Thanks for the video. Had no idea it was this complicated.

In newer Huey’s with semi newer radios half that stuff you did we don’t have to do anymore. Also all of the overhead knobs would be adjusted already like the AC power, ect, so you normally wouldn’t touch those. It’s literally, battery, fuel, hyd, throttle set, trigger start on. Done. It takes about a minute and a half to three and a half minutes from getting in the helicopter to being in the air. It’s pretty great

In JROTC, our Colonel was a Huey pilot in vietnam with 9th SOS. He would challenge us to try starting a huey in the flight sim on full settings. Then he would show us how to do it. After 40 years he still knew all the startups.

Respect to the vets that did this like their families lives depended on it.
Thank you.

The Airframe and Powerplant school I went to had one of these .. we Figured it out eventually . It was the most amazing fire up ever .. We forgot to disconnect the ground power unit and we push forward on the stick 😂😂 I don't think I have ever seen a ground power unit swing around in circles like that... luckily they had good handles in those Huey's back in the day. Won't ever forget it 🙏

I love how all of these vehicles are so simple and easy to turn on. I mean how would you not remember all of these steps? Its only 40 consecutive things you gotta do just to start the damn thing. In case of an emergency you would be able to take off within a whopping 10 minutes after consulting the manual at least 5 times, thats super fast

It's worring "close door" isn't at the first step 😂
