I still enjoy this kind of music .. I'm 66 years young .... and I believe the music of our time was the best ... it will live for ever.

If you're blessed to have ever seen "The Sweet" live, that's a sign you're old and from better times.

Today my 19 year old nephew was helping me do yard work and he was listening to this song on his phone.
I told him that it was one of my favorite songs.
I’m 60 years old. I think that says something about how GREAT this song is.
Rock On Everyone!!!

You hear the drums and your feet start tapping, your mind moves into “ballroom blitz” mode. A true classic, enjoyable every time you hear it.

I never felt like this band got the credit they deserve. I loved their music, still do. The range that they could achieve vocally was outstanding! One band I wish I could have seen live with all the original members.

Ah, I recall the year. I was in 6th grade, 1975/76. My teacher, Mrs. Letts, was the coolest. It's when I discovered I loved Ballroom Blitz! On rainy days, she'd grab a stack of 45 records, throw em on an old turntable, & we'd jam. We often pushed back the desks & danced. It's the only year I liked school at all. Mrs. Letts & The Sweet were the bomb. Both got me thru an awkward, tough year.
For all you young-uns out there, a 45 record is a small black disc with grooves in it. It's spun in circles on a turntable. An arm with a needle on it is placed on the spinning disc, which plays the music embedded in the grooves! It was cool! It was GROOVY, baby! 🤣😁👍
