Having eaten the carnivore way for 2.5 years, I see no need for sugar or sweetener in any form in my life. I'm 76 and am enjoying addiction-free excellent health and energy.

I have been using allulose in my electrolyte drink first thing in the morning. I don't get as hungry now, and I make an ice cream with allulose that is delicious. That can be eaten after the meal. I went carnivore for a few weeks and still had the allulose and I actually started losing weight. I am 70 years old, type 2, obese, and hypothyroid, and have had trouble losing weight my whole life.

I had allulose sitting in my closet for over a year. Never used it. I usually drink my coffee with no sugar or any sweeteners. Any way after watching this video, I decided to try it in my coffee right after eating breakfast. Normally my glucose levels peak up to 110-130 mgl about 80 minutes after my meal, whether I eat bacon and eggs with a little bit of ketchup, or eat a salad. For the past 3 days of using allulose right after my breakfast, my blood glucose levels rose only to 98 with my eggs, and 110 after eating a salad for breakfast.

I'm pre-diabetic. I usually test a 5.6.. 5.7.. 5.8 A1C...I get a blood test every 3-4 months. In the past 4 years, a couple times I had a 6.5 and a 7.0 A1C, when I wasn't exercising enough, and when I wasn't paying attention to my meals, so I have to be careful.

Apparently, ripe figs have 30% of their sugar being allulose. I'm very curious about if it offsets some of the potential problems with fructose and uric acid production in the liver.

NOT ME! I quit ozempic and have since lost 3 lbs. I was vomiting so bad I had gone to the hospital. my gut pain was intense and after quoting teh pain went away! It had no affect on my blood-sugar, it stayed between 200 and 300 on a keto diet. I was at my wits end. my DR said, "it's not the Ozempic" but I didn't believe her and quit using it. I felt much better! right away, in days.

I'm a 62-year-old female in the process of reversing a 20-year history of poorly controlled type-2 diabetes. I'm off the non-insulin injectable (Trulicity) 1 year this September, after having taken it for most of the previous 20 years. I've lost 75 lbs. so far (still have 100 to lose), my highest A1C was 10.9 and that was with the Trulicity. My A1C is now 6.3 with no meds for nearly a year. My highest fasting insulin (that I know of) was 77 and on my most recent labs it was 19. My highest C-reactive protein was a staggering 55, it is now normal at 4.3. I follow primarily an animal based whole food way of eating, no harmful vegetable or seed oils, no processed food, no fast food, no restaurant food, and hardly any sugar (I still eat a small amount of very dark chocolate) and I eat 2 servings of berries most days. I use the RX Sugar allulose pancake syrup near daily (about 4 Tbsps.) on top of carnivore waffles. They are made with 2 eggs, 3 Tbsps. of raw milk, 2 Tbsp. Equip Prime unflavored grass-fed protein isolate, 1/8 tsp baking powder, a pinch of Redmond's Real Salt, 1 scoop of colostrum powder, and 1 tsp bovine gelatin. I top the waffles with grass-fed butter and RX Sugar Allulose pancake syrup. After this meal my blood glucose (I wear a CGM/continuous glucose monitor) usually has a very gentle rise of 10-20 points after which it lowers to slightly below my morning baseline. Allulose is also great for Carnivore, Ketovore, and Keto baking. I much prefer it over Swerve Erythritol.

Could just go in carnivore or low carb diet for same results as the injection drug.

Just know that this fine gentleman may mean well, but at the end of the day, he was receiving a generous paycheck from the allulose industry...and he well knew IT (at the very least subconsciously)...as he was running his lab tests on allulose's merit and writing his final report. So please take his high praise of allulose—with a grain of "allulose" if you catch my truthful drift.

I tried Allulose, RX Sugar. I didnt care for it because I couldnt taste any sweetness at all and also it gave me diarrhea, so thats off the table also. Ive given up trying to find an alternative to sugar so Ive cut sugar out completely.

I weaned myself off all sweetners, i do a very low carb diet mostly carnivore and am very healthy now, only use a little organic raw heavy cream in my coffee. We support small local farms in our area.

what about avoiding both cane sugar and weird chemically synthesized substitutes which are hyped then a decade later turn out to cause cancer?

..and yet Allulose is banned in Europe and Canada. Why?

I've been a Carnivore for 2.5 years and have used allulose occasionally in my homemade ice cream & egg nog. I never feel any side effects and there is no aftertaste.

I think allulose is the very best tasting sweetener. But on the downside, it's about half as sweet as sugar, so you need nearly twice as much and it's more expensive than most, so overall it's very expensive.

My sweet treat is frozen strawberries blended with Allulose topped with heavy whipping cream whipped with Allulose. I have a CGM and it doesn’t raise my blood sugar. It keeps me from falling off the wagon. I can’t stand the aftertaste of artificial sweeteners. I’d rather have nothing but Allulose is a game changer.

Anything sweet will destroy dieting. I use butter to stave off hunger.

Fun Fact: From 1970 to 1980 the average BMI in the US actually dropped.. but then it went up, 1990 it was already much higher and it went higher from that point on. What happened?
25% more kcal intake vs 1970
Plant based oil and fat intake exploded
bakery and wheat products exploded (bread, cakes, cereals)
Ultra processed foods (that are mainly made out of carbs and fat) went up from 5% to 60%.

More carbs, more fat and more kcal made us fat..
