Steven's Pink Transformations BREAKDOWN! All Powers, Diamond Steven, Corrupted Steven & More!

Steven Universe Future gave us a slew of new transformations for Steven, taking a standard Pink glow and driving it all the way up to a giant Pink Kaiju! From Quartz Steven to Corrupted/Monster Steven, here's everything we know about all of Steven's Diamond transformations!

Regarding Steven slamming his head into the temple, part of me feels like that was him... intentionally trying to hurt HIMSELF
Maybe he was trying to poof himself (if that's even possible, which, shouldn't be?) or just otherwise stop being a monster
And when he wasn't able to, he was confused and frustrated and just... didn't know what to do, leading to his behaviour in the rest of the episode

I find it interesting that Corrupted Steven has some of Lion’s powers; he walks on water at times, and his massive wails are very much like Lion’s roar attacks. Little nods/reminders that Lion’s powers are really Pink’s powers

Could one of Pink Diamond’s outbursts be why the gem homeworld is shattered?

I think an interesting parallel that homeworld bound highlighted is that ALL the diamonds have two sides to their powers, opposite sides of the same ability but due to the era 2 mentality they had no need to explore those sides eg. Blue can make people happy or sad, yellow can break forms apart and put them back together, white can enter minds or let people enter hers. So Stevens pink powers make perfect sense as up till now he has been a healer, the opposite of healing is total destruction. Really in terms of power pink was was ahead of the curve in exploring her own abilities.

Steven didn’t corrupt. Hear me out, Throughout the series it has been shown that Stevens mental state affects how his gem works. When Greg made him think he couldn’t heal, he stopped being able to heal for real. More importantly, during that one episode where Steven almost died from aging himself too much, HE AGED HIMSELF because he felt OLD mentally. Therefore, instead of “self corrupting” himself, he unintentionally shapeshifted himself into a real monster after viewing himself as a monster. He didn’t say “I’m, corrupted” he said “I’m, a monster”. PLUS BD asked IF he was corrupted, showing even she wasn’t sure if it WAS or WASN’T corruption..


Edit: so instead of calling him ‘corrupted’ Steven.. it is more appropriate to call him ONLY ‘monster’ Steven.

I rest my case.

CorruptedSteven wasn't rampaging like a Monster- he was having a Panic Attack, and only actually lashed out when someone got his attention and he had a target.

I had a panic attack myself once (Pray I never have one again, it was horrible) and while it was different from Steven's I know that's still what he's going through- a panic attack won't be the same for every single person, because we're all DIFFERENT and handle whatever life throws our way differently

Missed the chance to call "Quartz Steven" "Chad Steven"

Hear me out, a spin off of all the diamonds in era 1 before and leading up to pink becoming rose. It can show us how they were before all this happened and give us another side of the Diamonds

My little theory for "corrupted steven" is that he WAS technically corrupted, if you pay attention to the context of the scene, notice that the other diamonds were also in water, along with steven tears, healing his physical form from corrupted, along with the love and support healing his humanity from "corruption", and there's also this quote from garnet from this one episode that she describes corruption as a "tear of fabric in the mind if mc bear bear"
