The taller guys name is Henning May and his voice is so amazing. You could listen to Tom’s Diner by AnnenMayKantereit for example or a german song called Vermissen by Juju&Henning May

In the second section with milky he is isn't off pitch. He is singing a harmony to the traditional melody. Which is so cool cause we have all heard Roxanne a million times so the "correct" notes are already in our heads and he sings in harmony to the ghost notes we are playing in our heads. Fuckin genius

AnneMayKantereit started as street musicians here in my hometown Cologne -Germany.

These are two bands, AnnenMayKantereit with guitarist Christopher Annen, singer Henning May and drummer Severin Kantereit. It's a great band with many really amazing original and cover songs. They started at the streets of Cologne. The other band is Milky Chance, really big in Europe and South America. When Milky Chance toured through Germany, AMK where their opening act. So at some point they sang together this cover ... Try other songs from AMK: "Tom's Diner" or "Proberaum Session" or "Pocahontas". Milky Chance, also a German band, has some really cool songs too: "Stolen Dance" or " Colorado" ...

AnnenMayKanterei recently released a cover of Toxic (Brittney Spears) and I love it.

I like this version of Roxxane the most and every time i hear the voice of Henning May I get goosebumps. I first heard it on a song called "Hurra die Welt geht unter" by K.I.Z and since then it's like a addiction.

You might even have heard one of milky chances songs like Stolen Dance or The Game. Or maybe these songs are only popular in Europe idk

Love that you point it out. Kurt Cobain was not "on pitch" but ti doesnt always have to be that way. Especially with bands like Annenmaykantereit that are ecentionally a street band. Music is so divers and music forgives "mistakes" thats what great about all arts. It has to catch someones eye or ear everything else is just not important. Who says that clean is good? Its very subjective to the person listening to it :) Paganini or Beethoven. Back in the day youd say they were "off" the normal. What is normal though?
