How To Fix 'Account Already Linked' SOLVED - Epic Games, Dauntless, Fortnite

I know how frustrating it can be to run into this problem. Since I wasn't the only one having it - I'll make a video about it!

Thanks for your post. It is very helpful since this whole thing is confusing. Here is part of my confusion: I should unlink the account first but unfortunately there is no way to unlink it. That is, there is nothing that is linked to the xbox account or any other account for that matter. In another separate epic account, I see that the xbox name is linked. However, as a nameless account, there is nothing to disconnect. There are only active "connect" buttons under all the apps, e.g., xbox, twitch.

So, I am a little concerned on your first step of deleting the account without unlinking the account. When I look at the Epic website to "request account delete" to delete an account, it says this action will "Start the process of deleting your Epic Games account including all purchases, game progress, in-game content, and Unreal projects permanently. This action is irreversible and your account will be disabled once submitted." It is a big leap of faith to delete the account with that warning. I know you mentioned that "your save data/skins are connected to your psn/xbox/switch account - not your epic account" but given the Epic website, it says something different.

One note is that there have been no charges my epic account yet. I wonder if that means I have the green light to delete the account. What do you think?

I had my account linked to an xbox account but I lost it now it says you can only link your account to your old one not to your new ine

This didn't help, but when do any of these YT videos help. So when Epic games bought rocket league i had to sign into rocket league with a epic games account. I tried to but it refused to take my details. It then proceeded to give me a nameless account that i have 0 CONTROL OVER, so how do i unlink my rocket league account if i dont even have access to the nameless account they automatically linked for me.

I got an account off my friend when I unlink his account to try and link my Xbox account to it! It says I can't unlink the external account of the epic Games. Need help :(

Had to come back to this video and just say that when you delete your account they literally warn you that you will lose all game progress and all purchases. I definitely wouldn't trust this video. I've been going back and forth with Epic right now through emails trying to get them to not delete my account because it's still in "processing request".

I linked the Epic Game account to several places a few months ago, and now when I enter the (CONNECTION) section, it did not say where your account is linked, which part should I go to and find out where my account is linked to? Pls help me

Thanks just had to hit that playstation login button on the epic login site and after i logged in using my psn account then bam I was able to link my switch and use cross save
