Idk, maybe because its my first bike ever but...im in love with my 2024 Ninja 500 ABS. I got it brand new for $7k out the door and ride it every single chance I get. I adore this bike. I never feel myself wanting for more speed, better braking, better handling, etc. It just does everything I want it to do. I love it.

All I know is that yammi had some hate for the 400 and the zx4r and they both turned out to be great bikes... sooo yammi words in one ear and out the other

I like that they don’t only make green motorcycles thts just me.. I hope more companies start coming out with new color schemes it adds a sort of mystery to the biking scene.. like you won’t know what someone’s riding unless you ask or know your stuff

Seems like saying "beginner bikes" are boring or not hi revving or not agressive enough is a strange sentiment. Weight (which you said) body position, ease of use, cost, maintenance ect. are the important aspects for people starting out.

Don't worry. 2 years from now he will make a vid declaring it the best starter bike ever.

Kawasakis can definitely be red if they pull it off right. Look at the classic Ninja 250 in red with the purple accents. Or the older Ninja 500 with the diagonal stripes.

So basically it’s “disappointing” because of government regulations.

I don't know, I don't mind black and red on a Kawi, it's like the elite ninja..

As a 6’2 200lbs guy I see this as an absolute win

Same horsepower, a bit more torque, but 5kg heavier, I would rather have the ninja 400, its lighter, which is the main advantage of small capacity bikes, but I'm not surprised that its heavier, most modern bikes are porkier than their older siblings, its like bikes are going backwards.

Being able to rev out the 400 is the best part of the bike. Lowering the redline is a huge L by Kawasaki

Seems like SO many people put on an exhaust and tune on their bikes. Wouldn’t the 500 be more receptive to power gains than the 400? For track use only of course…

For years I rode a 1992 EX-500. It was a competent bike, but it was old and worn out when I had it and there were weird little quirks it had. I once got pulled over going 94 in a 65 on it, and got off with a verbal warning. It was, however, red!

I had a old ninja 500, actually 2, and I loved them, and I feel like this is kind of a spot in their face

You don’t think it will be a flash tune away from more power like all the other A2 compliant bikes that are sold in other markets?

Seen this in person yesterday. It's a bump in capacity to make it through new euro regs with same performance. It's still budget and looks it. Was a good opportunity to match the 450sr. The Chinese are coming and the big four just aren't paying attention.

I don’t think the Ninja 650 will continue. It hasn’t been competitive for a long time and if they really did sell the engine design then we’ll likely see a 700ish 270 degree crank to match the field. I also remember a couple years ago you hated the Ninja 400 on paper for the extract same reasons as the 500 now

Dude i have the ninja 500 and i love it! It looks and feels amazing and is better than the 400 for the same exact price!
