Is the CXM 1978 Reverb Worth It? // A Lexicon 224 on Steroids

I've had my eye on this since it's Namm 2019 Reveal. Its a Lexicon 224 Inspired reverb pedal, with the classic fader control but this time they are motorized faders! I was curious to see if this Reverb pedal is worth the asking price, and for a workhorse to use this on basically every track... I think it is if you want it to be.. For example, I have the Zen Delay which ive used on 90% of my music since i've gotten it. I think that is worth it. Now this being the "best reverb pedal" (to my ears) will live next to that Zen Delay.

DAWG, the freaking vibe you created when you started messing with that crossfader during the techno jam... My hands went straight up, my eyebrows went straight to concerned mode and I said

I just got a CXM 1978, and it sounds beautiful. One thing that really irritated me, though - it’s a $900 pedal, and they didn’t bother to include a power supply!

This video is great, I love the way you cover all the aspects of the unit, the whole time making music. Your passion for music really comes through, and it makes your videos quite enjoyable.

I love how your mind drifted away from reviewing and you ended up just getting lost in the track, I felt that. 😍

From the video quality, to your oozing intelligence, your undeniable experience and wisdom, and just the kick back with your homie and make some music sort of vibes, you just effortlessly create content that is absolutely wonderful. I don't give my time to much these days simply because I don't have any to spare... But for the masterpiece thst is your channel, I have all damn day. Keep it up. Love your work. Wish I could work with you.

I love production videos that end with head bobbing. It's awesome watching somebody else slip into the zone like that. Totally inspired to go record now.

Finally picked this up--from my local Minneapolis shop, and a local area company (Chase Bliss.) Love supporting the community, and love this reverb! Thanks for keeping it on my shortlist during COVID times.

"cook out!!" I grew up in virginia & moved out to LA in '98. I was told back then that no one out here says "cook out." (that's how it's said back east.) you, enrique, are truly a universal soldier. lovely reverb by the way. I was born in 1978. really makes me wish I could swing this thing, but... no.

It stresses me out that when the faders are right next to each other they’re crooked. Looks like a manufacturing defect… Wish they had put some more thought into tightening those faders up

Dude, awesome video! I love your unfiltered joy and heartfelt reaction to the happy sonic accidents you find while you explore those amazing machines. I feel the same way when I play around with my gear, and honestly, what’s the point if you don’t get chicken skin and stank face from the music?😅 Loads of love and much success next year brother! You are a force of nature🤟🏻

The pre amp with the reverb would just be unstoppable!! You could sculpt almost any source to fit in any given project!

Bruh… I LOVE the vibes of your videos lately man. Big time subbing!!! I am getting back into Ableton with the push 2 after like 8 plateau’d years in logic. You make it seem like music is fulfilling for you, so maybe it can be for me, too. Honestly, my favorite things are that you NEVER seem to take anything too seriously, the color grade, and conversation is just really chill. Much like I’m kicking it with another musical homie. Keep up the good work bro!

What you need is one of those 'On Air' red lights on the outside of your house.
