Joann has Butterick patterns for 1.99 this weekend. I picked up the Palmer-Pleish fitted shirt pattern today so I could try their tissue fitting. Can't argue with 1.99 printed. I live in sleeveless tops like the View C all summer. I'm older and fine with classics.

Those of us who are slim but have the hanging smiley face belly need to wear tunics. Could be why they are still doing some tunics. No one wants to look at hanging bellies under short shirts

Kind of disappointing Butterick. Always enjoy your First Impression videos and look forward to them. Good advice on 6933. For anyone who works in an office, that one pattern will give three pieces to make. Like those pants. 😊

I like the B6933 wardrobe pattern. Those pieces are all right up my alley. But everything else does feel a little dated and I'd feel old wearing them.

I will be grabbing the wrap skirt as soon as JA's puts them on sale. I made pretty much this exact skirt back in the latter part of the 20th century and loved it so much that it's still in my closet. I wore it as a skirt with a t-shirt for work and date night. I will be curious to see how they handle the hem; mine has a self-binding. For the life of me, I can't find my original pattern so am over the moon to see it resurrected!

I prefer PDF patterns because I only print of the parts (and often sizes) I need and then I can reprint it, edit it, and hack it for multiple things without tracing. Those tissue papers are so thin and easy to rip and are a pain to trace off of.

I liked the wrap dress the most. I think it would work for the office or running errands or date night. A simple wrap dress like that seems really versatile to me. I have a wrap dress pattern that I havent opened yet and now I'm inspired to tackle it lol. Thanks Lindsay!

I quite liked this release! I think Butterick is being positioned for office wear. I don’t like to dress casually or trendy and even though I’ve been making most of my clothes my whole life, I have purchased less than 20 patterns, so I don’t necessarily have a good version of classic things in my pattern stash!

Nothing terribly exciting but I probably will by two maybe three of the patterns. I like butterick because I’m older and they give more classic clothes. They usually look pretty good on me.
