Ocean and space exploration should not be compared. Both are extremely important and have many benefits, so comparing which one is more worth it shouldn’t be a comparison. It is true that we explored more of space than our own oceans, and more effort should definitely be put in ocean exploration, but advancing in space has improved our lives in so many countless ways, from being able to monitor and predict the weather of the Earth to being able to communicate instantly with someone on the other side of the planet with the internet. Exploring space allows us to discover how life on Earth formed, and allows us to realize how special life on Earth really is. Ocean exploration is extremely important and more effort should be made for it, but the oceans and space should not be compared.

I agree with Ray! Let’s fully explore here before going out to a red rock with zero signs of life.

Hi Ray, I'm a huge fan of what you and James are doing with the oceanX. If you're ever out visiting him here in Santa Barbara i'd love to be your dive guide. James's former captain was my mentor.

The engineering of a structure capable of ocean exploration is more challenging than space and orbitals. ie space has little to no pressure after leaving earth’s atmosphere whereas the ocean has immense amounts of pressure which increases exponentially every km we go deeper

You know what? Space is big, the Ocean is big. We have enough ressources to explore both and we'll never run out of room to do so.

Finally a highly influencer such as Ray Dalio has said it.

If you want to compare those two, which way brings more advanced technology & development, and more understanding in nature, we should explore more in that area. Later advanced and clean technology should save the planets. Priority is to go to the place in distance where we can see that (like the moon).

Hyper loops across oceans, natural resources, discover ancient ruins, animals, maybe even existing civilizations. So many reasons.

How do you address that during the past mass extinction killed off most ocean creatures and that it won’t happen again? Are you for real?

This guy is definitely not going to explore the space. He not going to explore the ocean ether. Ask yourself - is he going to tell you something reasonable?

because ocean is the space. people who are awake know the truth about vaccine, human history, jfk, nasa, etc.

Not to mention the population of the lost city of Atlantis would probably still be alive if they put any effort into living underwater. 😂. I would have to agree it's a whole lot cheaper to learn how to live underwater than it is to learn how to live in space
