I used to work at Biltmore Estate. It was haunted, but Biltmore Company doesn't want to be known for being haunted, but you can't help it if it is though. I used to work third shift so there was only 6 - 8 people there at that time. I have plenty of experiences.

I visited there many years ago, it's definitely haunted, the owner and many other creepy ghosts still reside there, the pool area creeped me out the most and not by a child. I will never go back ever again because I hated the feeling I got going there.

My impression of the pool area was that of a hastily boarded up train tunnel. Nobody with the wealth they had would build a pool that ugly. It would be a marvel to look at. It is so out of place. It even looks impossible to get out of. Gave me a creep factor of 10.

I visited as a child. The tour was really interesting and fun but I do remember feeling uneasy at the bottom of it near the pool.

A classmate of mine used to work there, he told me of ghostly hauntings, apparitions and whisperings . He said it was creepy, eerie location.

I’ve been to the Blitmore and it’s not like anything I’ve seen before…it’s a very cool place! Especially all the different rooms, iam not surprised if the Blitmore is haunted. I felt weird when I entered the pool room…I also felt weird in the maids room my heart was racing almost as if I felt like someone was in there it was very cold and you could feel like a breeze in some of the rooms which is very unusual. It’s a very unique place and I would love to go back, despite all the haunted stuff it’s a great place to learn history they have a lot of old carriages, clothes, decorations, barns, and plenty more! If you visit where all the animals are they have a cow that is still alive till this day that was related to the original cow the mr. Vanderbilt had. Personally it’s a very historic house and is probably something that everyone should see, if anyone has any questions please ask!

I spoke with a worker once, and they told me they had a picture of a chair in the main bedroom, and there was a figure sitting in it.
Apparently it was during the candle thing they have at Christmas.

There’s also a bedroom, I believe the Louis XV suite, that since I was young made me uneasy.
And everytime I visit there and go to that specific room, I suddenly get dizzy and start having a panic attack.
It is for sure haunted!

The last time I was at the estate, I remember walking down the stairs to the basement, then I remember leaving. My husband said he had to hold me upright the entire time we were down there. I felt queasy on the steps down, then nothing.

Well, some of the family do still maintain residence there from time to time. That’s why some of the areas are blocked off and may explain some noises or sightings.

You have to realize as well that the house and estate were built on old farms and homesteads. There is a lot of history in the land. A lot of energy left behind by the people who lived there through the centuries.

If there's a ghost cat maybe there's ghost mice? Could explain some spooky stories where people hear scratching in the walls!😆

I remember the headless orange cat when I was ten. Does anyone know what happened to the cat?
