My guess is there won't be anymore fires because the arsonists like the element of surprise. It takes time to gather all the resources to fight a big fire. Now that they have crews at the ready, it takes away the potential for destruction.

Anyone wondering why fire trucks and helicopters didn't use salty water? These engines aren't designed to intake or outtake high-pressure salt water. Salt's abrasion would destroy the systems within hours.
This has nothing to do with vegetation.

The two hydroairplanes from Quebec dropped tens of thousands of gallons of salt water taken from the sea.
*It smelt fishy...*
