did you know that there are phd-thesises written about her different dialects she uses?
anyway, björk is very active the recent years producing music and she has announced a new album for next year.

one of the most outstanding artists of our time.

she was on stage here in iceland last month for four very unique shows where she displayed songs from most of her records. each show was different from the set up, be it a choir, a string octett or the icelandic symphonic orchestra.
each of it was so special! even the songs from her last album, which is not so much my cup of tea, were fantastic!
and i can tell you some really funny björk stories.
once i bumped into her during a concert and our jackets got stuck and we needed some time to solve it. i nearly died in shock when i realized that it was her. and i saw her NAKED in the shower of a local pool in reykjavík, where she used to do her sunday afternoon swim.
in autumn she bought a nice house in reykjavík.

by the way, you pronounced my name absolute correctly! ;)

Björk and Raimuando Amador. She was living in Spain and she loved flamenco, so she wrote this "flamenco" song. Love her.

This song was about her vicious stalker named Antonio Banderas who eventually killed himself and sent a bomb to where she lived in London. B left for Spain to give her mind some peace and she recorded her whole album while in Spain! It was so scary for her and young son at the time because Antonio was obsess with B until the point of insanity! He got furious when he saw tabloid photos of her dating a black man a musician based in London and that’s when Antonio Banderas went mad!

If you haven't already, you should check out some Beirut. They're a Balkan Folk band. They take influence from all over Europe. Postcards from Italy, Cliqot, Guyamas Sonora, Mount Wroclai and so many more amazing songs. They are absolutely mind blowing live.
