I had new front brakes installed (ceramic brake pads + rotors) because the old ones were worn down after 90 miles. However, driving out of the mechanic shop i heard a sort of rubbing or whurring that changes frequency with the speed; namely, the noise goes faster as I pick up speed. The whurrig noise was not there before the new brakes were installed. Anyone have an idea? Thank you for any suggestions on what to check.

Yup. I was always too busy. Finally checked them to do the replacement, since I do most of my own labor, and all I had was the backing plate...

Hi 👋. I just fitted new brakes and now my right hand side just squeaks a little. I bedded the brakes in gently with no dead stops. In fact I was bedding these pads in gentler than any other brakes on my previous cars. Could it be because I left my old wear indicators on? Any reply appreciated. Cheers from Australia 🙂

How could
they have worn down so fast under normal
conditions.
Such a pain to find a competent mechanic.

Hilariously, the Raybestos SureStop pads squeal on their own without any engagement of the pad wear squealer.
