I got Ruan Mei last night, today I fought Sunday for the second time (the real one in the storyline.) with my firefly team (Firefly, HMC, Gallagher, and now Ruan Mei) before Ruan Mei, I was using Asta...

Don't do that... Pull Ruan Mei, it's for your own good.

If Asta gets touched by a butterfly, she will die.

If Ruan Mei can take massive hits from bosses.

Asta speeds your characters up (which tends to be rather insignificant)

Ruan Mei keeps your enemies broken (which let's you get more super break hits in)

Asta (unless her ultimate is used ) HAS to deal some kind of damage.

Ruan Mei's buff doesn't deal damage directly to targets, making things like the sentry bots on the 3rd planet and the swarm thing in the Herta Space station much easier to deal with.

So, if you're not interested in firefly, already have firefly, or care more about practicality than having firefly (I'm a fan)

I'm glad I invested in quantum supports like Sparkle, Silver wolf and Fu because Qingque is my favourite and now that I have her full team, she feels great to play. Other than that super break is a ton of fun so I invested a lot in Firefly and I also built my Sushang for some variety. I need to work on my pure fiction teams now cause my Himeko and Herta kinda suck.

I think when it comes to team building, it's really about focusing on what you want and that usually requires you to ask yourself several questions and which takes priority.

Do you want to build a team with a character you like (either built around them or just including them)?
What do you want to accomplish (MoC? Pure Fiction?)?
Is the team you're wanting to build redundant to other existing teams you already have (break, DoT, damage, follow up, type, etc)?

Depending on the answers and which takes more priority in your own personal enjoyment of the game, it can help you determine who to pull for and who to invest in. It's not that pulling for several random different characters won't help you but it is a long-term goal vs. short-term goal because every character can eventually be useful but the question is how useful are they to you now? Building out even one team takes a very long time (unless you're whaling) from farming traces to getting relics, so it's important to prioritize what you want to do and why.

Fun meta-game for Acheron/Beidou fans: try to figure out which character is voiced by Allegra Clark without checking the credits. Then realize that she voices that character's younger version too when she's revealed. That range is downright insane...

Just started playing right as the Robin banner was ending. So I pretty much went all in on the break meta comp with both Boothill and Firefly. I was also lucky and pulled a copy of Bronya from the newbie recruit banner which cemented my decision for going break. My wallet has been bamboozled but I have what I need to blow through story and hopefully most of the other side content as well.

I have to give credit to the unknown being that gave me Robin and Ruan Mei. I honestly wanted to skip them ( but i really wanted robin), but i got them early and won my 50/50's.

Is amazing that both firefly and acheron basically changed the way star rail was played, for firefly case she made very strong an already good team comp (because it was good with boothill but insane with firefly), and acheron making a category herself for theb inmense dmg output she can provide, just amazing.
Also, a game id recomend playing is Holocure, and i love your vids moon

I've been blessed to get both FIrefly and Ruan Mei in the same patch and having Ruan Mei has been a great investment for my account as it allowed me to run every team comp that I planned to use. (Argenti bug breaker team/Jingliu hypercarry/Superbreak) I believe Ruan Mei and Kafka to be the two most valuable characters as they both open up your accounts to various team comps.

Just started on the game, main team is FF, HMC, Ruan Mai and Gallagher which absolutely destroys anything even with sub 300% break effect.

However I cannot seem to be able to build a second team as Crit relics just evade me.
I think I will have to get Black Swan to try and scrape a dot team which seems easier on the RNG when it comes to gear.

I feel like this is one of the best times to start the game. Essentially you can easily pull for a complete firefly team and be set up with your first team really early on. Kinda like how you could get everything for a budget acheron team in her patch. Although better because you in this case you'll have all the best options if your lucky while with acheron you're still waiting for a black swan rerun.

I have my method of going for a universal team with all game modes with Acheron while depending on DHIL hyper or follow up aoe for specific modes. Choosing a fun team to deal with moc/pure fiction with a current meta team is the best way to diversify playstyles but also be very effective for building and resources needed.

I don’t use Bronya much after I got Sparkle. I am glad I leveled Gallagher and maxed out e6 Harmony TB. They’re crazy with Firefly. So far I’m liking Jade, especially with e6 Herta. Sparkle, Himeko, Jade, and Herta team cracks me up
