Easy parry, easy rotation, easy mechanics almost close dmg to the lizard

Basically extra damage for jinshi with a longer rotation + 50 stacks needed + airal combat

while jiyan with a bit smaller rotation + auto perry with eyes closed + almost similar damage with easier gameplay.


Seems balanced tbh.

I think you've hit the nail on the head with Jinhsi. Whether or not she is strong will be dependent on how easily she is able to get her stacks.

Oh that's pretty close. Jiyan still hits 360 degrees and he groups. So Jiyan might still have AoE edge.

My problem with Jinhsi is her peak damage, in paper she looks really strong but at S0 it seems it would take quite a while to reach 50 incandescent stacks and her combo rotation takes quite a while to reach her dragon breath skill.

But we'll see once she gets released later. Jiyan's real adavantage is how easy he is to use.

That's really close tbh since Jiyan is an auto parry, 360° attack click one button... I'm optimistic about the level of powercreep now

I think you forgot to unclude Jiyan's Forte in your calcs. Y'know, that big hit he deals when you ult with one stack of his gauge.

Jiyan forte is an absolute nuke. Jiyan is actually stronger when you factor in how easy it is to play and his rotation

Funny thing they will come out with a best in slot support for Jinhsi at some point likely very soon. Even with a sub optimal team she is this good thats not being talked about

There's one important thing i'd like to add.
Jiyan's outro is 626%
I get it, this is only calculating their rotation, however Jinsi's dmg is heavily reliant on her outro to build stacks, one cannot realistically look at her without counting benefits of her outro, so the benefits of Jiyan's outro should be counted as well.
(iirc prydwen also count outro as part of the rotation)

Plus Jiyan can Nuke enemies with proper Rotation. He can get so much Elemental DMG bonus UpTo 150-180 Aero DMG with proper Rotation.

Maybe you already said this, but are these calcs single target, or are we assuming jiyan is getting multiple enemies. Because we already know that jiyan is much better in aoe and mob grouping than single target. But if it is then wow. I didn’t know jiyan would hold up this well in single target against a character who basically just nukes.

u will not fire off that combo in 10-15 seconds with taoqi, not with her deepen/amplifty, u will also not get 50 incandecense stacks with taoqi+verina every rotation. Not even 40, max possible stacks in 15 seconds even if its all coordinated attacks is 30. verina and jinhsi share the same element

Yea seeing the new character kits right now... I think I prefer easy to play characters. Will pull on rerun Jiyan if there isn't any easy to play characters in the upcoming months.

Imo everyone should have Jiyan before 1.1 given they did all the events and received the mail rewards… now if you didn’t pull for him then good luck. I will pull nonetheless
