The SAT (and ACT) loves to check and see how comfortable you are with the quadratic equation and all of the forms it can take.

Are you able to extract the vertex from a quadratic equation when in standard or factored form?

Are you able to recognize when you are facing a question about quadratics even if the test writers give you no obvious clues that you are?

Are you able to translate back and forth between quadratic equations and statements about a "minimum value"?

Do you know how to use the symmetry of a parabola to derive the vertex from its graph?

By the end of this video, the answer to all of these questions will be "yes" (and you'll be screaming it).
