I have a Samsung R580 JBB2US with an I3 processor I was going to get the i5 processor but since your laptop is from 2012 and mine is from 2010 I’m wondering if I can go i7 processor like you did can you please advise I was just asking order the i5 but I decided to look on YT ONE last time to check and see if anyone has gone from i3 to i7 processor on a Samsung laptop, and your video was the 1st one to pop up today. I have NP300E5X running as an Ubuntu server. I upgraded Pentium B970 to i7-3620QM. Temperatures are fine (idle @ 34 degrees celsius), but laptop runs only for 20 minutes and so and then shuts off. I have tried with different RAM combinations (4GB of 1333MHz, 8 GB of 1600MHz) but still the same. Has anyone with this laptop had similar problems, and if yes, then how did you solve it?
