How to get to Portofino | Liguria Travel Guide

There is no train station in Portofino, but that’s not a problem at all.

Buy a train ticket from Genova, we departed from Genova Brignole, to Santa Margherita Ligure. One way ticket on a regional slow train cost me 3.9€ and it took us 30 minutes to get to Santa Margherita Ligure. Kids go free.
Next to the exit from the station you will find a bus to Portofino. You can walk of course, but 5km in the heat can be a bit too much 🥵
