Great. Good to have a guy who knows what he's talking about and explains and demonstrates how it works, what the problem could be and how it can be fixed. Cutting a hole in the door though sounds a bit drastic.

Had the same problem same side same door lol tried to fix it but gave up. With your guide vid I’ll prob give it another go. Still got a new actuator sitting in my garage too

I have already changed the lock modules on both front doors but never in the rear ones.
Waiting for the next video to see how this is done et if there is any differences with the front doors.

I have same problem too but I can't remove the door panel because the door is closed. The door panel is stuck between the door and body of car

Great ibfo fir the back door - is there the same vidéo for the front door ? My polo phase 1 passenger door does not open from any side - Cannot remove completely the door trim - what to do to open the door ?

Thanks for the video - so its possible to get the door card off if the door wont open? I undid two torx screws on mine - is it just clipped in from there?

I have the same problem on my Bora (jetta mk4), today i did the hole and surprinse, that plastic arm broke right off when i pushed it whit the scruedriver . Do you have any ideas how can i unlock the door (back rigth).

Easier solution: Just open the front door. Then you should see the bolts holding the rear door onto the car. Loosen those bolts, and the rear door should open right up.
