Hi Meaghan, you say that filtration decreases receptor exposure. But given that filtered x-rays have very low energy, wouldn’t they just be absorbed in the patient if there were no filtration? If so, how does filtration actually make a difference to receptor exposure?

How is there a direct relationship with anode heel effect, but when anode heel effect increases the receptor exposure goes down? At least thats what my kettering book photographic factors says.
